General practice is here for you for longer as routine appointments become available on evenings and weekends

Our practice is working together with Farnworth Group Practice, Stonehill Medical Practice and Kearsley Medical Centre to offer patients evening and weekend appointments.

From 1 October Farnworth and Kearsley Primary Care Networks, groups of General Practices working together to deliver key health and care services, will be increasing access to pre-bookable, routine appointments at evenings and weekends.

Enhanced access appointments may include services like cervical screening, childhood vaccination clinics and health checks.  People will be able to see a member of the general practice team, a GP, nurse or other health professional.

The appointments offered via enhanced access will be held at Farnworth Health Centre and may be with a different clinician than usual.  This clinician will have access to your health records and will be able to treat you in the same way as we would.

You can access these appointments via our reception team.

Ordering your Repeat Prescriptions

without coming to the Surgery

In order to reduce patients having to come into surgery to order their prescription, the following methods can be used

1, My GP app – This is the preferred method.  You will need to download the app then contact the practice. We can then verify your details and send you the information needed.

2, Telephone – 01204 572787 Monday to  Friday between 10-12 and 2-4pm (temporary measure) - You will need to provide the patients name, date of birth and name of medication.

3, Post - You can post your request to us.

4, In person - you can drop off your request form at reception.
